WIND STATIC AND DYNAMIC LOADING
Outdoor structures are exposed to wind loading and thus wind actions should be considered in the calculations during the design process.
The assessment of both steady and transient actions contribution due to aerodynamic wind effects on slender bodies is paramount in order to ensure long term design integrity and to avoid accidents. The fluctuating nature of the wind produces alternating stresses that might trigger either a potential fatigue failure or potential structural instabilities.
