We should not be reluctant about the transition from CAD to BIM. Like all changes, it may be difficult at first, but once it’s finished you see the benefits. SDEA_Engineering Solutions is at your entire disposal to take you by the hand in this transition and make it as smooth and less disruptive as possible.
The BIM implementation process is carried out specific to each company, its structure and needs. Our plan is divided into 4 different Phases:
-1.1: ANALYSIS: Firstly, we analyse the work processes, separating them and detecting the necessary tasks for their development and we define the possible incidences of the implementation of the BIM Methodology.
-1.2: BIM IMPLEMENTATION PLAN: Once we know the operation of the company under study, we develop an Implementation Plan:
– We define the BIM objectives.
– We estimate the necessary investments, and analyse the impact on other key work processes, etc.
– We develop an implementation schedule.
-1.3: BIM PROTOCOL: We develop a procedure to standardize and unify the way the information is treated and shared.
In phase 2 the implementation plan is put into practice. In a practical way, it is implemented on a Pilot Project. For this, teams are trained and resources and processes necessary for the project are established.
In Phase 3, we provide follow-up for the proper development of the Pilot Project.
