Designing and Support Services

Advanced Engineering Services

We are experts on numerical modelling using FEA and CFD tools overlayered with design code knowledge. Our services include:

  • Numerical simulation using finite element analysis (FEA/FEM), including vibration analysis, fatigue studies and impact cases.
  • Abuse cases as seat pushes, leg/arm forces or stepping loads
  • Modal, seismic and wind simulations
  • Fluid-dynamic studies (CFD) and FSI simulations, including airflow, splash behavior and ventilation

Numerical Simulations and Hand Calculations

We have extensive experience in performing numerical simulations to design and verify complex structures and loads. In cases where FEA is not necessary, we perform manual calculations to ensure maximum efficiency.

The use of advanced simulation methods guarantees highest operational safety and reliability.

  • Using Static Structural Analysis, we determine:
    • Load distribution and displacements
    • Components thickness
    • Welds and bolts quality
  • Using Dynamic Structural Analysis we:
    • Determine the structure response to time-dependent loading conditions
    • Evaluate transient and harmonic loads, modal behavior and stress wave propagation
    • Mitigate vibration-induced issues

Material Optimization

We apply advanced analysis techniques to evaluate and optimize the behavior of complex materials ensuring high mechanical performance and durability. We can determine optimal thickness distribution and optimal weight reduction, while at the same time we ensure structural integrity and load resistance.

Service Life

By performing advanced fatigue analysis on critical components we: 

  • Assess cyclic loading effects
  • Predict and extend the service life of structures
  • Minimize unexpected failures
  • Determine stress concentration areas
  • Analise  material degradation over time

This allows us to optimize designs and establish predictive maintenance strategies, managing scheduled shutdowns to reduce downtime and operational costs.

Risk Assessment and Safety

We verify that the values of the safety-related parameters stay within predetermined levels. The risk assessment considers all reasonably-foreseeable failures such as accidental conditions, impact conditions, operation conditions and abuses cases as interference by persons riding in or on the amusement device.

Compliance with European Standard

We ensure compliance with the UNE-EN 13814 standard, which establishes safety requirements for the design, construction, inspection, and maintenance of amusement rides and attractions. 

Our expertise guarantee reliability and compliance and covers structural analysis
verification of stability and verification of strength. Through rigorous engineering evaluations , we keep the fear in the ride—not in the safety.
